We began applying 6 Sigma philosophy throughout Borusan group companies as of May 2002, in order to achieve our goal "Staying one step ahead in everything we do" along with our strategic targets by 2007. Our targets for 2007 can be summarized as; USD 2 billion annual revenues, USD 150 million profit before tax, benchmark customer satisfaction in Turkey and cultural change towards perfection in our business.
6 Sigma is the name of our targeted mindset change for Borusan, as a company competing against itself. The principle of controlling every step taken in each job process from the inception until the delivery of final product or services underlines 6 Sigma philosophy. 6 Sigma is based on restructuring job processes in such a way to eliminate any failure right from the beginning.
Through this change, we are going to create a BORUSAN;
- Staying one step ahead in every field, among everyone, and in every sense,
- Perfectly implements processes; no mistake, no failure,
- Benchmark for companies with most challenging targets,
- Compatible with global norms as far as to easily conform to tests at the highest international standards,
- Continuously rising its limits,
- Proud of its achievements and on the quest for the best.

"The major strength of 6 Sigma originates from the fact that businesses are operated in a manner that conforms with their strategies. 6 Sigma is an extremely significant tool and control mechanism for the realization of the actions present in companies' strategic plans. Each strategic plan thus becomes a living document and the entire organization is moulded with strategic plans and related 6 Sigma projects. Is this not a great transformation process?"

The basic elements of the 6 Sigma methodology are; the customer, the process and the employee. In addition to transforming our way of doing business, the harmony of these elements within the discipline of the methodology allows us to gain diverse perspectives. Business decisions made based on data increase our productivity, as well as providing added value to our customers. The affiliated companies of the Borusan Group started to achieve their vision of being one step ahead on the way to perfection through the 6 Sigma methodologies.
