History
1958 Borusan Boru was established as the first industrial concern of the group.
1960 Kerim Çelik was launched as Borusan's first investment in the steel sector. Today, with an annual production capacity of 230.000 tons, Kerim Çelik is a major supplier of a wide range of products for automotive, white household goods and metal goods producers and auxiliary industries.
1968 Borusan Boru's 4.000 sq.m Sefaköy plant moved to its new and technologically superior facilities sprawling over 58.000 sq.m in Halkalı.
1969 A USD 100.000 worth shipment to Syria marked Borusan Boru's first foreign sales.
1969 Borusan Mühendislik was founded to become one of Turkey's leading heavy industrial machinery producers today.
1970 Supsan was founded in Sefaköy, İstanbul, to produce valves and valve components for internal combustion engines.
1972 Borusan Holding was established to coordinate Borusan Group companies.
1973 Boru Nakliyat was founded as a land transporter, to be expanded in 1983 into port management, customs clearance and storage services as well.
1974 Suisan became a licence producer for the U.S. Eaton S.r.L. Currently Supsan leads the original and replacement spare parts with a nearly 60 % market share.

Birlik Galvaniz founded in 1971 as Turkey's first galvanised flat products producer and joined Borusan Group of Companies in 1975.

Borusan İhracat İthalat ve Dağıtım was established to handle Borusan Group companies' foreign trade transactions.

Borusan Boru's Gemlik plant went into operation.

1977 Borusan Yatırım was founded with participations in major Borusan companies in steel, distributorship and integrated logistics sectors. Borusan Yatırım trades in an exclusive portfolio that covers fast growing or market leading Borusan concerns.
1983 Borusan's Gemlik port was built.

Borusan Oto became the Turkish distributor for BMW AG.

1989 Borçelik, Turkey's first private sector cold-rolled flat steel producer was founded. The company began production in 1994.

1989 Bortrans was founded to cover a broad range of activities including chartering, port management and marine division.
1992 Asım Kocabıyık Culture and Education Foundation was established by the Borusan founder's family, to contribute to education and cultural enrichment in Turkey.
1993 Borusan Group's commitment to arts and culture culminated in The Borusan Chamber Orchestra, one of Turkey's first private chamber music ensembles.
1994 Borusan Makina was launched to handle the customer services including marketing, sales, spare parts and maintenance of Caterpillar brand professional equipment targeted chiefly construction, mining and agricultural sectors.
1995 Rolls Royce joined Borusan Oto's distributor portfolio.
1995 Kartal Boru was founded as a Borusan Boru participation.
1995 Borusan acquired the Bosaş Pipe Factory in Trabzon.
1997 Borusan Güç Sistemleri, formerly a Borusan Makina department, was set up as an individual company dedicated to marketing Caterpillar's power systems.
1997 Drawing upon its success in the domestic market, Borusan Makina became Caterpillar's sole representative in Azarbaijan. The Baku team and plant established in October 1997 were soon followed by Caterpillar representation contracts for Georgia in end-1997, for Turkmenistan in 1998, and for Kazakhstan in 1999.
1997 The Borusan Culture and Arts Center was established to embody and enhance Borusan's longstanding involvement in all fields of artistic output.
1997 Kartal Boru merged with Bosaş.
1998 Borusan Oto became the Turkish representative for Land Rover.
1998 Mannesmannröhren Werke AG merged its activities with Borusan Boru and was renamed Mannesmann Boru Endüstrisi A.Ş. The İstanbul based Borusan Mannesmann Boru Yatırım Holding currently ranks among Europe's five top welded steel pipe producers.
1998 Borusan Oto was restructured into two separate companies, Borusan Otomotiv İthalat ve Dağıtım A.Ş. and Borusan Oto Servis ve Ticaret A.Ş.
1998 A major project of Asım Kocabıyık Culture and Education Foundation, the Borusan Asım Kocabıyık Anatolian Vocational Highschool was built on a total of 24.000 sq.m.s in Beylikdüzü, İstanbul, and received its first students in the 1998-1999 school year.
1998 The Foundation also built and endowed Borusan Otomotiv Zehra Nurhan Kocabıyık Elementary School in Avcılar, İstanbul, a fully equipped learning institution on par with the best of its kind anywhere in the world.
1999 The Borusan Chamber Orchestra was expanded to become the Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra, and Professor Gürer Aykal was appointed as Musical Director and permanent maestro.
2000 Boru Nakliyat, Bortrans and Borusan İhracat İthalat ve Dağıtım merged to form Borusan Lojistik. The new company made a USD 18 million investment for its second port in Gemlik, built and opened on the same year as its inception.
2000 Borusan Teknoloji was founded to tap the investment opportunities in the IT and Telecommunication sectors. Offering funding and management support to promising companies, Borusan Teknoloji proceeded to participate in Time, Borusan Telekom and Pargem in quick succession.
2000 A new company, Borusan Elektronik Ticaret, İletişim ve Bilgi Hizmetleri A.Ş. was founded.
2001 Otomax.com was launched as Borusan Elektronik's first enterprise as well as the first automobile reference site in Turkey.
2001 Borusan received the Patron of Arts Award at İstanbul Art Fair / ART-İST 2001 organized by Art Galleries and TÜYAP.
2001 Borusan, Mitsubishi and USS co-partnered to launch Oto Exchange, a bidding system for second-hand automobile purchase.
2001 Borusan Boru acquired the Italian based Structo Vobarno plant in a move that expanded its cold drawn production capacity threefold.
2001 Borçelik received the National Quality Achievement Award for Large Scale Corporations.
2001 KOU Hereke Borusan Campus comprised of a vocational college and male and female students' dormitories was built and donated to Kocaeli University by Asım Kocabıyık Culture and Education Foundation.
2001 Borçelik co-authored a mega investment with its world leading French steel producer partner, a USD 140 million capacity expansion and the addition of a new galvanising line.
2002 Borusan Holding has been the most successful company of the year 2001 with the votes of Dünya Journal readers in the extent of the "Ekonominin Şeref Kürsüsü".
2002 Borusan Holding deserved to be chosen the Year's Economic Corporation by GESİAD.

2002 Pargem received "IP Telephony Business Partner of the Year" by Cisco Systems with its studies in the IP Telephony Area.
2002 Borusan Holding purchased 35 % of Bamesa Aceros, supplier to world's leading automotive manufacturers like Mercedes, Renault, Peugeot, Ford, Nisan.
2003 Turkey's first multi-channel, multi-branded second hand automotive platform Otomax.com has been the winner in the of the "e-Transformation Leaders" contest of Capital Magazine and Siemens Business Services.
2004 Borusan Group is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its foundation. Borusan Makina has taken over the distributorship of Caterpillar in Kyrgyzstan and also acquired the Kazakhstan distributorship for AGCO, world's leading producer of agricultural machinery, including Massey Ferguson tractors. Borusan and Mannesmann managements initiated the merger of the two companies after Borusan Boru's recent acquisition of their joint venture company Mannesmann Boru. Borusan Telekom, which is the continuation of Bnet which acquired Comnet in 2002 and became the leader in corporate internet services, has placed among Turk Telekom's rival as an alternative telecom operator.
2006 Borusan Group's initial company, İstikbal Ticaret, was founded to market steel and export agricultural products.
