Founded in 1973 as Boru Transport to provide services to its sister companies under Borusan Holding, Borusan Lojistik went beyond its designated limits in the year 2000 and was restructured as an integrated logistics service provider extending its coverage to non-group companies.
Borusan Lojistik is centered around two strategic business units: Port Management and Third Party Logistics Services. Borusan Lojistik gives services in 4 continents. Following the breathtaking growth of operations both in volume and in geographic scope, Borusan Lojistik founded Borusan Logistics in late 2006.
Borusan Lojistik provides services mainly to the automotive and automotive spare parts, durable goods, steel and steel products, FMCG, chemical products and construction sectors.
3PL Services :
Borusan Lojistik provides transportation, distribution, warehousing, international transportation, ship chartering, custom clearence and other added value services within the supply chain process.
Port Services :
Borusan Port is offering world-class professional project planning, general cargo, container, PCC or RO-RO port and terminal services round-the-clock.
Upon completion of the first stage of port expansion investment in the last quarter of 2009, Borusan Port will become the most efficient and fastest port of the region with 1400 m. berth, 280.000 m2 terminal operations area and handling capacities of 6.5 million tons in general cargo, 400.000 TEU in container operations, 250.000 vehicles in car parking. After the second and third stages of the investment, Borusan Port will be the biggest port of the South Marmara Region and its total handling capacities will reach to 7.5 million tons in general cargo and 650.000 TEU in container operations.
Cross-border Logistics Services
Borusan Lojistik is expanding its experiences in third party logistics services in Turkey to a wider area with its subsidiaries including Borusan Logistics International Pars JSCo in Iran, Borusan Logistics International Gulf FZE in the United Arab Emirates, Borusan Logistics International Cooperatie U.A. in the Netherlands, Borusan Logistics International Algeria SPA in Algeria and Borusan Logistics International USA Inc. in the USA. Borusan Logistics carries out third party integrated logistics services as a growing regional power in Ukraine, Rumania, Russia, CIS countries, North Africa, Syria, Lebanon, Spain, Kazakhstan, Iraq and the USA as well as the Benelux countries.
