Borusan Mannesmann Boru was founded in 1958 and has been continuing its pipe production activities as the first industrial enterprise of Borusan Group; a leading industrial and service conglomerate of Turkey. The company is one of the leading steel pipe manufacturers in Europe with its 925.000 tons of annual production capacity of which  725.000 tons of longitudinally welded  pipes and 200.000 tons of spirally-welded pipes.

Borusan Mannesmann Boru currently continues its domestic production in its Gemlik, Halkalı, Izmit and Gebze plants. Additionally it has a production facility in Vobarno/Italy which is specialized in serving the European automotive sector. Borusan Mannesmann Boru serves its customers with a wide product range from 4.6 mm to 2.540 mm diameter and thicknesses from 0.6 mm to 23 mm.

The company’s product range includes; water pipes, general purpose pipes, natural gas and petroleum line pipes, industrial pipes and profiles, hollow sections, PPRC&PVC-U pipes and fittings, boiler tubes, casing pipes and spirally-welded pipes. Also SRM pipes which are produced in stretch reducing mill with hot-drawn technology are especially preferred in European markets and Borusan Mannesmann Boru is the only manufacturer in Turkey to employ this technology.

Borusan Mannesmann Boru produces its spirally-welded line pipes in its Izmit plant with a capacity of 200.000 tons p.a. between 355,6 mm to 2.540 mm diameter for oil, gas, water pipelines as well as pilling applications. The plant has also coating facilities of PE, Cement and FBE to serve unique customer specifications. The company has wide experience and range of track records in oil and gas pipeline projects both in domestic and international markets with high grade API standards.
