Borusan Mühendislik was founded as a part of Borusan Boru Sanayi A.Ş. in 1969, and was called Borusan Makina in these years. In the following years, the company was organized to supply requirements of welded steel pipe machines and coil slitting line equipments of Borusan Boru A.Ş. Nowadays, Borusan Mühendislik provides service for design, manufacturing and maintenance of flat steel, pipe and profile manufacturing companies in the steel and iron market. In the meantime, Borusan Mühendislik is local business partner of foreign technology importing companies.

As of early 1990s, Borusan Mühendislik participated actively in establishment of Borçelik flat steel manufacturing facilities. In these years, via local equipments manufacturing and project management; Borusan Mühendislik minimized the costs of these investments as much as possible. During this investment period, by working together with global technology suppliers of iron and steel market, Borusan Mühendislik gained valuable know-how and experience in engineering and machinery manufacturing scopes.

Currently, Borusan Mühendislik tends to increase the common jobs and studies by working together with technology suppliers that are few in the globe. The company becomes local supplier for global technology suppliers of steel and iron market. Also, Borusan Mühendislik manufactures the international projects of these companies; and in this way, increases the export volume of Turkey.

In the coming period, Borusan Mühendislik aims to increase the collaborations with global companies in terms of machinery manufacturing and project management. In the steel and iron market, with the experience of more than 40 years and skilled labor; Borusan Mühendislik provides crane maintenance, general maintenance, periodical and planned maintenance services to primarily Borçelik, and then Kerim Çelik and Steel Service Centers around Bursa. Furthermore, in order to increase the productivity of customer companies, Borusan Mühendislik supplies R&D and Engineering Services.
