The Lean 6 Sigma is a management methodology which is designed to question and improve all business processes starting from production, and also including the introduction of the product to the customer. Its aims are; to reduce defect rate to zero, increase efficiency, attain perfection in all business processes and continually increase customer satisfaction. The Lean 6 Sigma methodology, not only identifies and corrects defects but also allows for complete restructuring of business processes to eliminate the possibility of errors starting from the beginning.
 
 
What is the Lean 6 Sigma?
The Lean 6 Sigma, which was used in 1984 for the first time, represents "ZERO DEFECT".  On this purpose, it focuses to eliminate any error conditions from all business processes. It provides, reconstruction of all business processes in a way that does not allow any defect.
Sigma, which represents the letter "S" in the Greek alphabet, represents "Standard Deviation". The number 6 represents the "Sigma" level of the targeted perfection.  6 Sigma shows that even a minimal reduce in defect is directly related to the customer satisfaction.
6 Sigma projects are carried out by Black Belts who are working full time, specialized in this methodology, inspects the projects and trains other and Green Belts who are working part-time in projects, and by all levels of Borusan employees.
