The Ephesus Foundation
The Ephesus Foundation, established under the leadership of Borusan Holding, aims to contribute in development and international promotion of Ephesus. The Ephesus Foundation is acting with the mission of generating funds for preserving the ancient city and continuing promotional activities worldwide. Ephesus, being one of the most significant cultural and historical site with its unique history going back 10 thousand years ago; attracts 2 million visitors every year.
Activities of the Foundation:
Providing financial support for upcoming excavations and the museum.
Contributing to the shortening of the time period of the excavations in the ancient city. Developing plans and projects towards conducting the excavation works under local and international experts’ guidance.
Building a digital archive consisting of all published research and up to date records of all the excavations held in the ancient city.
Supporting the academic studies for the history of Ephesus, cultural traditions of various periods, and the architecture of the city.
Promoting international symposiums to create awareness for the ancient city. Managing cultural activities such as concerts and exhibitions and undertaking the responsibility of their active promotion.
