Ephesus – Marble Hall Sponsorship
Besides its activities in social and cultural areas, Borusan is committed to the renovation of key archaeological sites in order to preserve Turkey’s rich cultural heritage. In this regard, Borusan has been working cooperatively with the Austrian Archeological Institute in the restoration of the ‘Marble Hall’ in Ephesus, which stands at the entrance of the terrace houses on the main street of Ephesus. This venture, to be completed over a period of three years and at a cost of € 300,000, is designed to fully renovate the entire room of 120,000 pieces, with its marble facade and restore it to its original condition.
