In 2013 and 2014, we will have started an investment on the scale of approximately 1.3 billion US Dollars in the renewable energy field, mainly on wind power plants. We plan to commission Balabanlı WPP by the end of 2014. Our first plant to be commissioned following Balabanlı will be the Fuat WPP Project of 30 MW in İzmir Kemalpaşa. Our other power plants, all of which will have 50 MW installed power, will be constructed in Çanakkale, Bursa and Mersin. In 2014, we will also start the 138 MW Saroz project, which is planned to be one of the largest wind power plants in Turkey. We plan to reach a wind installed power of 455 MW in medium-term, and plan it to be over 1000 MW in the long run."
Environment-friendly production with environment-friendly technology
The energy produced in the Balabanlı WPP project will be environment-friendly, as wind power is one of the cleanest energy forms as a renewable energy. Environment Management Plan shall be applied during the construction and operation periods of the power plant project, which will be constructed in compliance with both Turkish Environment Legislation and international standards.
