Artists and Music Lovers of the Future: Borusan Children's Choir

The Borusan Children's Choir is established with the belief that children's choirs have a profound impact on the growth of artists and music lovers and these communities serve as a dynamic factor affecting the environment of art in a community.

Established under the tutelage of the conductor Gülsen Yavuzkal in November 2002, the Borusan Children’s Choir is comprised of 40 children aged between 8 and 14. The Choir sings polyphonic children's songs of various cultures in their original languages from its repertoire.

The Choir, all of whose members are comprised of students of Beyoğlu Okçu Musa Elementary School, gives about 10 concerts per year within the scope of national holidays and new year’s celebrations, children’s festivals and special events.

Having performed about 60 concerts between 2002-2012, the Choir reached up to 30,000 spectators and 600 children received education on a continuous basis up to the present.
