Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship - Microcredit

We Support Woman Entrepreneurs

Established as the 50th branch of the Turkish Grameen Microfinance Program (TGMP), Afyonkarahisar Asım Kocabıyık Microfinance Branch was put into service in 2009 under the protocol executed between the Borusan Kocabıyık Foundation, the governorship of Afyonkarahisar and the Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction (TISVA).

In April 2013, Gemlik Borusan Microfinance Branch was additionally launched in Gemlik of Bursa. Having commenced its operations as the 95th branch of TGMP, Gemlik Borusan Microfinance Branch did not broaden its domain, but also achieved a rapid progress in communicating the purpose and mentality of microcredit to all women in need by holding informative meetings in the center and villages of Gemlik.

Thanks to two of its microfinance branches, Borusan has provided loans amounting to TRY 3 million in total for more than one thousand 300 women in business line ranging from bakeries and beauty salons to food and handcraft.
