Borusan EnBW Energy

The total installed capacity of Borusan EnBW Enerji whose portfolio is fully based on renewable energy resources increased to 370 MW in 2015.



Having stepped into the energy sector in 2007, Borusan entered into a joint venture with EnBW AG, the third largest energy corporation of Germany, in 2009.

Borusan EnBW Enerji is focused on creating value for Turkey through its investments and portfolio in the energy sector. Borusan EnBW Enerji whose portfolio is fully based on renewable energy resources put Bandırma Wind Energy Power Plant (WEPP) into operation in 2009 as its first investment. The installed capacityof the power plant was increased to 89.7 MW as a result of the capacity increase realised in 2014.

50.3 MW Yedigöl Aksu Hydroelectric Power Plant located in Erzurum, the first hydroelectric power plant of Borusan EnBW Enerji, was put into operation with its first phase started up in 2011 as followed by the second phase in 2012.

The total installed capacity of Borusan EnBW Enerji was increased to 370 MW as 50.6 MW Balabanlı WEPP located in Tekirdağ was put into operation in 2014 as followed by Koru WEPP, Mut WEPP, Harmanlık WEPP and Fuatres WEPP (178.2 MW in total) in 2015.

Borusan EnBW Enerji aims at achieving a portfolio of 2,000 MW which is fully based on renewable energy sources.
